In the Australian climate, natural fibres are so much more comfortable and healthy to wear. The absorbency and breathability of cotton and linen, and the insulation and cuddly warmth of wool are always favourites.

Turramurra Drapery stocks a large range of pure cotton fabrics, varying from the humble unbleached calico to swiss voile, with lots in between.

The latest addition to our patchwork range is the new and growing range of Rowan fabrics, designed by Kaffe Fassett – brilliant colours and patterns in 100% cotton. Suitable for so many other uses too.

Turramurra Drapery stocks Australian fine wools in suiting and fine jerseys, cashmere blends and wool crepe for skirts, pants and coats.

Corduroy, polar fleece, moleskin and cotton/poly fleecy for tracksuits are welcome in winter wardrobes. Co-ordinated ribbing is also available.

We have cotton broderie from France and a range of brushed cotton and flannelette for sleepwear and babies. We also stock woven cotton and cotton/wool blends (perfect for baby blankets) pure wool or cashmere blanketing and Doctor Flannel.

A growing range of linens and silks are also available, with special orders welcome for formal and bridal wear. A comprehensive range of lining and interfacing is always in stock.

Even-weave linens, aida and Ann cloth are available for emboidery, even Irish linen for beautiful handmade handkerchiefs.
